The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Undergraduate (UG) programs is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as a single-window opportunity for students seeking admission to various undergraduate courses offered by central, state, deemed, and private universities across India. The CUET exam aims to bring uniformity and fairness in the admission process by eliminating the need for multiple entrance exams conducted by different universities.
The CUET-UG exam is conducted in online (computer-based) mode and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). It is divided into three sections — Language Tests, Domain-Specific Subjects, and a General Test. Students can choose subjects based on the requirements of the universities they are applying to. The exam assesses a student’s knowledge in subjects studied at the Class 12 level, along with reasoning, general awareness, and language proficiency.
