The Madhya Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (MPTET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), also known as Vyapam. This exam is organized to determine the eligibility of candidates who wish to become teachers in government and private schools across the state of Madhya Pradesh. Qualifying MPTET is a mandatory requirement for candidates aspiring to teach at the primary (Classes I–V) and upper primary (Classes VI–VIII) levels in Madhya Pradesh.
The MPTET exam is divided into two papers — Paper I for those who want to teach at the Primary Level and Paper II for candidates aiming to teach at the Upper Primary Level. The examination is conducted in online (computer-based) mode and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Social Science.
